Oh - 2 more things.

#1 - Did I tell you how much I love Skype?  I got to chat with a friend on Tuesday, she's been through a rough patch and it was wonderful to see her smiling and laughing.  You just can't get that through an "LOL" no matter what font is used.

#2 - I was asked a follow-up question about my "worst" sexual experience.  France asked, "Did you ever talk to her later in life?"

The answer is yes.  A couple of years after my brother dated her sister, I ran in to her at the mall when I was home from college.  It was awful and awkward and I asked a bunch of questions about her sister.  "She sure had some odd ideas about our time together," was all I really said.  Michelle knew what I as talking about and quickly changed the subject.  So, did I see her?  Yes.  Did we get any resolution?  No.  I want to think that she knew her accusations were untrue and that she felt bad for saying them.  What I hate to think, is that she felt they were true (even though no intercourse was involved) and that I did something hurtful.

I think we all leave behind a trail of pain we don't know about.  We slight a friend who never recovers, we push to hard and hurt their feelings, we make a partner feel bad without even knowing it, and then we do something mean just to be mean and we blame the moon, the beer, the bad day, or just say "Fuck it, Why do I have to be nice all the time?"  Maybe hell will be seeing all of those moments on a loop until we understand their pain, and maybe heaven will come when we get to be forgiven.
