So behind, again

only one decent post of my own in 5 days
a general feeling of malaise
a touch of ennui
a whole lot of busy,
a big heap of tired
and just a pinch of privacy
it feels like I've been a way for a long time. 
But there have been highlights too.
A friend who is wonderful at following instructions
A new friend who admitted to having a "blogger crush" on me (and who doesn't want to hear that)
Another friend who forgave me for a self-pity outburst
and one who is going through a tough time but keeps in touch anyway
and 11 comments on my silly little post about my Win7 upgrade....  Thank you all!
Blogging  ties us to so many wonderful people that it's a strange feeling to be away from it.
Addiction?  I don't want to think of it in that way, more like a far-flung and erotic support group.

So thanks to all my wonderful friends, new, old, naked, or dressed, you are important to me.

So what's been going on?  My trip to Houston was hot but productive.  My friend's daughter's wedding on Friday was sweet (and short, yeah!!) and the reception was good.  I should make a whole post out of what I was thinking, but my cynical side shouldn't come out during the wedding itself when they are young and in love and don't realize that they will hate each other in 5 years.  I'll keep that to myself.

I will say that  "Cindy" was there looking beautiful as ever and to my friend who knows who Cindy is, we made the right choice.

My daughter's bithday was fun as we went horseback riding and out to dinner.  Today is Labor Day in the US, a holiday, and we are having friends over for dinner.  Unfortunately these are nice, but unattractive friends, so we will be focused on talking and not much else.  :-)
