FFF - Frantic - Jan 18

His mind scrambled to make sense of anything, he just needed one fact, something familiar, something that wasn't complete chaos. The last thing he was sure of was the sound of her husband’s voice booming through the bedroom door as she frantically pushed him toward the fire escape. She began throwing clothes out the window but they vanished as they crossed the plane between inside and outside. With a flash of released energy, they vanished and he was left naked on the cold metal stairs.

Frantic - 234
He was unsure of his direction, location, , or velocity, all he knew is that he had to pick one, change one, and increase the other. He ran straight toward the brick wall, determined to tunnel through it and he felt his skin, muscle, and bone rearrange themselves as he passed through the solid rock and into the arched pathway that created itself for his escape.

He wondered if he was dreaming but the pain in his feet and the sound of the pursuing car convinced him that the threat was real. His eyes searched for a black door, a hole in the tunnel wall and it pulled him like gravity towards it. He entered and it went dark as he felt his way around the boxlike enclosure. Trapped like a cat, he was unsure if he was dead or alive, he would find out when the door re-opened. (234)

With my sincere apologies to
Schrödinger,Heisenberg and Planck, I had to try the quantum theory approach.  The only sexy thing about it was his starting location, but after that, it's just a bad episode of Jumper.  :-)

So, let's try one more time.

“Candice!” He yelled as he waited impatiently, “where’s my dinner?”

“Make it yourself!” She yelled from the living room, “I’m tired.”

“What am I supposed to eat,” he said, petulant, “I’m hungry.”

“If you’re hungry,” her voice changed tone,” I have something you can eat.”

He turned and looked at his young bride; she had beautiful eyes, deep blue and as stormy as the sea. They had a rocky relationship but the sex was good in the cooking was great, but both depended on the mood of the moment too much for his liking.

His tummy rumbled, “If I do you right will you make me dinner?”

“If you do me right, I’ll make you anything you want.” She peeled her green T-shirt off and dropped it to the floor, her black & pink panties were next and she took him by the hand.

She stripped him down quickly and rubbed his head and laughed, “I love how smooth you are.”

He slipped his hand between her legs and said the same thing.

Their coupling was frantic and fast and he came quickly, filling her, but leaving her hanging.

“All right then, he” he said as he pulled on his pants, “Make me dinner.”

Scowling, she followed him into the kitchen and opened a drawer, “How about Mac & Cheese?”

“Whatever.”

She grabbed for his cock and brandished the knife, “How about with sausage?

A short post about a long run

I saw her on the treadmill yesterday, technically I guess it’s an elliptical, but they all do the same thing, They trick you into running in place and then you realize after an hour you still haven’t gone anywhere. I can’t stand them unless the weather is really awful outside. Even with the TV on I find them boring and I never feel like I’ve gotten a real workout. Some people love them and so, I guess, more power to them if that’s what works for them. I like to be outside.

She looked familiar, too young for me to know her professionally, too young for me to think about her legally, but I knew I had seen her someplace before. Today, as I walked through the door, she was there at the front desk, an employee, so that is where I knew her. But there was something more. She complimented me on my choice of sweatshirt and I looked down and realized I was wearing my hoodie with the high school logo on it. I asked her if that’s where she graduated from and she said that she had graduated in 2007. Doing the math quickly in my head, I asked her where she was going to school now.

“I’m a grad student at UCLA.”I handed her my ID tag and she scanned it, saw my last name, and smiled. She asked if I was my daughter’s father and I said yes. Though they missed each other in school, her younger sister and my daughter were friends through the team.

“I saw you on the treadmill yesterday, do you like it?

“It was just too cold to go outside so I stayed in.” She said obviously upset with the weather, “I much prefer to run outside when I can.”

“What time do you get off?”

“In about an hour.” She said

“I’m running to Fayetteville, do you want to join me?“

Fayetteville is an old settler town, famous for a haunted house and a double murder back in the 20s. It’s an the historic site that is rarely visited, but it is the gateway to a beautiful canyon run. I had rediscovered this trail last week and now, and she handed me back my ID tag, she gave me a beautiful smile.

“I have to go straight to school after I finish work,” she said with a grin, “but thank you for asking.”

I’m pretty sure she was just being nice but that didn’t stop me from running with the fantasy in my head. For some strange reason it was very specific, very detailed, but very specific. The run is a 7 mile round trip so I had plenty of time to think. Time to think about running behind her watching her cute little bottom swish back and forth; plenty of time to think about running beside her watching her face catch the morning sun.  Plenty of time for her to get chilled in the morning air and, at the turnaround, stop us to catch your breath.

Touch my ass

What?

Touch my ass, she stared at me, I think she was serious.

I close the gap between us with two steps and put my arms around her waist.

I didn’t say you could kiss me, I told you to touch my ass.

Without saying a word I pulled her hips tight against mine, reached up underneath her running shirt and found the waistband of her very expensive running pants. I looked into her eyes, she did not look away.

I felt the waistband of her pants on the backs of my fingers, it snagged briefly on my wedding ring and I smiled at the accusation. Her skin was perfectly smooth, the smooth skin of a 20-year-old who has yet to see hard times. My thumbs traced the cleft as my fingertips found the bottom of the curve and I squeezed gently, pulling her open just a fraction to let her know that I knew exactly what I was doing.

Her breathing became quick, shallow, and she put her chin on my shoulder

I pulled her against me roughly, quickly, pushed my hands deeper, the hem of her pants now on my forearm as my fingertips traced the bottom of the curve in the tops of her thighs, fingertips creeping between the heat to pull her open, to pull her apart.

She gasped as the tip of my first finger traced the outline of her pucker.

Touch my ass

My hands spread her further, and my middle finger dipped between her feminine folds for heat and lubrication. She shivered at the penetration but did not pull away and, suitably coated, I placed the tip of my finger firmly in the center.

Tell me again. I hissed in her ear. She wrapped her arms around my neck and held me close, her lips chasing warm kisses along my neck and up to my ear.

Touch my ass.

My finger slid in without resistance, and she gasped and moaned and clenched.

My hands held her open in the cold morning air, hidden by trees and boulders and distance, I pressed my finger in deeper and deeper.

Her lips panted in my ear and I felt the warmth of her breath on the side of my face. She was holding me tight, bucking against my hand and breathing deeply into my skin, I felt myself harden beyond measure but this was her moment, her request. She pulled her lips away slightly so they could move

Now the front

I began to slide my finger out when she quickly said “No! Both”

I slipped my left hand around to the front, never pulling it out from within the tight confines of her pants. My hand came across a smooth shaved mound and I quickly found the heat between. I shifted her in my arms and she turned sideways, her left arm around my neck for support, her feet on tip-toes as she tried to lift and lower herself on my touch.

My hands worked in tandem and her orgasm crashed over her. Her arm tightened around my neck and I held her tight, supporting her in her moment of weakness as wave after wave pushed through her strong hips.  I could feel the strength in her thighs giving out and with the twin supports of my hands, I held her close.

She turned towards me and pressed her chest against mine as my hand slipped out and came to her waist, holding her gingerly as I gave her a moment to collect herself and decide on her next move. She cradled my face in her hands, looking up at me and kissed me deeply as we breathed into each other’s mouths for several minutes as she processed the swirl of emotions. She took my left hand by the wrist and kissed my fingertips lightly, they smelled of her wetness and her pleasure. With the right hand I cradled her curves gently and pulled her tight and just let her breathe.

Her world stoped spinning and rational thought returned. She looked up at me again, smiled, and gave me a quick peck on the lips. “Give me a two-minute head start,” she said with shaky voice, “and then come catch me.”

My mind wanders with the miles, and soon I am back at the gym and she is gone. I smile, knowing that it’s more than the run that got my heart rate up today.

FFF Prompt for Jan 18 - Frantic

So here we go, one for the 'other side'.

I was asked to feature something besides beautiful naked women (a request that still baffles me) so based the submission from a loyal friend, here is this weeks prompt.

Key Word:  Frantic
Word Limit:  234
Extra Credit:  Involve something from quantum theory or Martha Stewart's latest cookbook.  (And I hope you know that most the extra credit is just me messing with you all.... but now that I write it.......I like it)

I have a great time picking pictures, thinking about FFF,a and encouraging others to join in.  If we are to make it work, we've got to make it grow!!

Please let your friends and followers know that we are trying to keep FFF afloat!  I love it, and I want others to love it too!

Run with me again.

This will be short, nothing important. I want to get in the habit of blogging a little bit every day, only if to keep myself in the habit. I know it is rather self-indulgent to think that anyone cares what I think about on a daily basis, but to fulfill the prediction of the radio DJ I listened to at lunch, I must become a “delusional narcissist” and I think that includes having a blog.

I complain many times on this blog. I complain about sex, my job, my wife, a little bit about everything, but today is a good day.  I will not complain.

I woke up on time and made it down to my gym as a beautiful sunrise was cresting the hill. I sent the picture off to a friend and she responded with admiration of the photograph and just seeing her name in my inbox makes me happy.  The weather was perfect. I should not gloat over my snowbound friends but there is a reason everyone loves California. It is because of days like today, in January.

I am going to a new gym so I decided to stick to a familiar road as to not get lost. I don’t really get lost, but some routes are dead ends, some take me the long way around when I’m not in the mood for the long way, and some are just boring. About 2/10 of a mile into my run I saw a trail. My neighborhood has lots of trails, a throwback to the time when horses actually lived in my Valley. I’m a sucker for a trail, especially when it goes along the river. So I took it.

Like most paths in my area and ran along the cement River carved as part of a flood control plan that seeks to keep nature in check, rivers within their banks, and trees growing in proper lines. But it is pretty, so I ran.

The trail lasted a little over a mile and then it kicked me back out to a sidewalk.  The sidewalk ended, then the road ended, and I ended up in a Park. The Avenue turned into a street which turned into a one lane road that wound itself between the trees and the craggy rock outcroppings and deeper and deeper into the canyon. After a couple of miles I passed a small preserved historical mining town. “Town” is the wrong word for it as all that is left is two or three buildings. But at one point it was the start of the oil and mining industry in my neighborhood. I passed through and continued on until my watch chimed at the 3.1 mile mark. I had stopped to take pictures along the way so my time wasn’t great, but I knew I would make up for it on the downhill return.

I love running when I don’t know where I am going. I love having the confidence that I can find a trail, take it, and have the energy and wherewithal to get back. I have told many people that I run until I am half tired and then I turned around. I like it with a bit of uncertainty.

3 miles from my gym and I was all alone.  If you are there with me we could have stripped down and played for hours without being seen. We could’ve kissed on the big rock at the turnaround and tanned ourselves under the winter sun. We would have had the forest to ourselves and it made me smile as I returned.

I write my little Monday updates on fitness, but it is days like today the keep me motivated. Days when I can find a new trail and run, days when I can find a new path and explore.

Come run with me.

Fitness Update - Jan 7

Fitness Update, January 7, 2013

I will be the first to admit that it takes me a while to get going on a new fitness plan. And when I say fitness, I really mean eating. This year is no different and it might be the same for you. We set good goals of the beginning of the year and get discouraged quickly when we can stick to our lofty ideals. No chocolate.

No dairy. No cheese, no sweets, no sugar, no fat, no fun, no food.

We all set goals that we will not meet. We set goals we can never meet. So what do we do when the 7th rolls around and we’ve had ice cream, we ate an extra cookie, we decimated a bag of Hershey’s chocolates, and the scale hasn’t budged.

I will tell you what we do, we keep going. There are 365 days in a year and I will not be deterred because the first seven of them did not go well. Have I made a great choices? No. Have I abandoned the bad habits that ruled my life between Halloween and New Year’s Eve day? No. Have I done any of the things that I said I would do? Not really.

So what? Do not be discouraged because the first week was not the perfect week. It never is. To be perfect is unrealistic; to be perfect is to buy a discouragement, to shoot for perfection is to guarantee failure, discouragement, and misery.

No, the goal is not perfection.  The goal is consistency of improvement. If you did not do well this week do better next week, if you ate too much today eat less tomorrow. If there is a half-eaten bag of chocolate candy in your drawer at work put it in the kitchen where others will eat it for you. If you can’t get skinnier, make others look fatter and you look better by comparison. Do what it takes to get a little bit better every week.

I know I will succeed on a eating plan when I don’t have to think about it too much. If I say no cookies and my daughter makes three batches for her friends and two for us, what am I going to do? I am going to eat a cookie, or two. Does that mean I need to sit down with a glass of milk a TV show and go through eight cookies? No it means I enjoy the cookies and then I brush my teeth and I’m done.

There is a myth about New Year’s resolutions that we are failures if we cannot keep them. This leads to the stereotypical jokes about making them only to have them fail. If we know that goals have built-in failure dates why do we make them? We make them because we know we should do things differently.

So let’s do things differently. I challenge everyone who is reading this post to add one of their goals to the comment section. Make it a goal you want others to know about. A good example would be, “I want to go to the gym three days a week.” Or, I will have two servings of vegetables on my plate and every dinner.” A bad example of a public goal would be, “I will stop embezzling from my company by Friday.” Or, “I will stop smoking so much pot as I fly my passengers across the Atlantic during the winter.” Some goals should be dealt with in private. Please deal with them, but don’t make my travel plans change because of your confession.

In fitness there are many things we can do that have nothing to do with the weight on the scale. Here are a few ideas.

I will drink more water
I will drink less soda (if something is less, it needs to be measured, so write it down)
I will eat less red meat
I will only use butter when necessary
If I cannot taste the cheese in a recipe I will remove it.
I do not need milk with every meal; I will replace it with water, green tea, or a healthy juice.
I will eat higher quality protein
I will eat at fast food restaurants no more than twice a week
Every time I eat fast food I will total all of the calories and the money I spent. (This alone will help change your habits)
I will buy by more fresh fruit.
I will buy less processed food.
I will not eat bologna for breakfast
I will walk more.
I will take the stairs instead of the elevator.
I will buy new walking/running/jogging/cycling shoes to keep my feet healthy.
I will challenge a friend to go to the gym with me.
I will tell my husband/lover/boyfriend/girlfriend/roommate about my goals and ask them to hold me accountable.
I will not get angry when they do it.
I will try a new exercise class.
I will sign up for an activity through my city parks and recreation department.
I will cut back on my alcohol consumption.
I will stop smoking.
I will stop smoking pot.
I will have more sex.
I will not eat meals standing up.
I will not eat in front of the television.
If somebody compliments me about my looks I will smile, and say “thank you.” I will not argue with them or debate the validity of the complement.

You should be able to do something on this list, or add your own; I hope these Monday posts can be helpful.

When I asked you to put a goal in the comment section I want you to feel publicly accountable for making change. Change can be big or small. A dear friend of mine purchased a pedometer and has committed to wearing it throughout the day. She does not need to have a goal as to the number of steps she 3takes; except that she should take more of them next week then she does this week. It is cold where she lives so along with the pedometer I suggest gloves and hat and good walking shoes. Can you walk to work or the grocery store instead of driving? Can I walk around the building before going in?

Small consistent changes are more effective than large changes that fail.

Come change with me and we will make 2013 a healthier and happier year. In the spirit of full disclosure, below you will see a picture or why I will not lose weight today.

On a side note, I did go for a nice long mountain trail run on Saturday.  6 miles in just over an hour, but I’m counting it as under an hour because I stopped to tie my shoe and take pictures.  I also went dancing that night at a friend’s birthday party, so that counts, and I was SORE on Sunday morning.  I’m not sure if it was the running or the dancing, but it felt good to be tired.
