Nothing to report - Part II

Last week I said I hate long weekends because I feel disconnected to my on-line friends.  As I thought about that all week, and relished the WONDERFUL people who responded to my self-pity fest, i tried to take a different tack this weekend, I just stayed busy.  Way busy.

A track meet for D1 (She did great!  Ran Varsity on 2 relay's and was near her best time from last year, a great 1st race of the season)
Bought lattice for the patio cover
Changes lightbulbs
Set light times,
fixed a clock
cleaned the garage
put away the ski stuff (sad face)
pulled down clothes boxes so D2 could try on D1's old stuff (seriously, hand-me-downs are the worlds BEST $$ saver)
Went to the store
Went to the pharmacy
Picked up a movie
Watched a movie, ate popcorn and M&M's
put together pictures and crap to show my mother-in-law

I still miss my peeps, especially when some are under the weather, others are taking care of ill loved ones, and some are just ripping sexy and feeling saucy.

Today, in contrast to last week, I'm feeling happy that I have all you wonderful people in my life, making me laugh, making me horny, helping me smile, and helping me earn lots of bonus words.....

FFF will be up on Wednesday, we are going to keep it light again this week and use a picture I've had on the list for a long time.

If anyone has a good picture they want to use for Flash Fiction Friday, you can always send them to me direct, or submit them to my FFF idea blog, "More Bad Advice"

Have a fantastic Sunday!!!

Random thoughts on a Sunday morning

I should really get off Tumblr and work on my Sunday school reading

My son didn't feel good all last night.  I feel bad for him, but I love holding him as we sleep.

The weather should be colder, but i like running without 4 layers of clothes.

I had an orgasm yesterday that was totally underwhelming

"The Hunger Games" was a good book but a boring movie.

It's been a quiet week with my blogger friends.

My daughter is going through a rough time as her best male friends chase after the rich girls.

I made a new friend on-line this week.  She is beautiful but lives in my home town.  that is wonderfully, but it makes me nervous and happy and horny all at the same time.

My pastor's daughter is a real bitch, and he can't see it.

Two of my main friends are on vacation and one is really busy, I miss them when they are away

I love the hour before everyone else wakes up.

My crock pot pork ROCKED last night
  • Pork Shoulder Blade Roast - Boneless - trim the fat, cut into natural sections
  • 1/2 yellow onion sliced, not diced
  • 1 orange pepper - large, cleaned and seeded
  • 4 -6 tablespoons spicy yellow mustard
  • 1 can Campbell's cream of onion soup (with Garlic)
  • lots of fresh ground pepper
  • a few shakes of salt
  • just enough water to rinse the soup can (not a lot)
  • i put in the onions, then meat, pepper and salt, the Orange pepper, the soup, the water, put it on high for 5 hours and it was perfect.  The drippings made a wonderful gravy, I had trimmed most of fat so it wasn't fatty, and I served it with potato slices (like large hash browns), corn, and a green salad.  I ROCKED IT!
I'm typing quietly because my penis is sleeping.

Have a great Sunday.

(and I just got big news from a very special friend.  I am very proud of her.)

Sunday Sacrilege - Who knows?

found on
http://petite-conne.tumblr.com/

Someone teased me about using too many naked nuns, but who could resist this one, and besides, I wanted to lighten the mood.

It's no secret I fantasize about the women I go to church with.  I wonder what they are like in bed, do the swallow and do they moan?

Is K as sexy as I hope she is or does she bitch about his technique like she complains about his job?

Is C the quiet girl at home, or does she spread those beautiful cheeks and beg to fucked in the ass, "Come on Mickey, you know you like it!"

And what about the pastor's wife?  With 6 kids she's got to like it a little, does her squirrly little laugh make him hard as she giggles and jiggles on top of him?

What are these women like.  JC is probably frigid, that's why R is so depressed, or maybe she's the Domme that no one suspects.  After all, she does have a thing for black leather boots.  And what about J?  Pudgy, funny, always smiling, dressing clothes a little too tight, but always, always holding her husband's hand and laughing.  Maybe she's the best lay of all, because she's happy.

Who knows?  I don't, but I'm dying to find out.

Sunday Sacrilege - Come Follow me

Come follow me, the worlds most simple, yet profound invitation.

Seems like Twitter could have used a different word

Sunday Sacrilege At His Brithplace

This might have popped up for a few days last week, I was having issues with Blogger and it went out early.  But I still thought it was worth sharing (again).  I think it's awful, without commenting on the beliefs of anyone involved, the conflict over Christ's birthplace (and not even the confirmed location, just an agreed upon "best guess") shows how little people think of Jesus and what he taught.  He got along with most, ministered to all, and encouraged dialogue and understanding.  Where did we lose our way?

While the Christmas Spirit is stil in the air, I wanted to post the video from this story, to prove that, when we gather at the birthplace of "The Prince of Peace' love and brotherhood abound....unless, of course, you and your stinking Armenian broom crosses over the line. Oh yeah? You Greek Orthodox bastard, I'll show you what my broom can do.....

Oy Vey!!!
Maybe we need this, more than ever...

Sunday's Sadness

What do we do when we stop believing?

A fellow blogger admitted that she still said her bedtime prayers even though she no longer believed that someone else was listening to them.  I asked her why she still said them.  While she has not responded yet, and does not have to at all, I have asked myself the same question many, many times.

If I no longer have faith in my faith, what next?  For myself, the question is simple, I move on and adjust to a world in which my hope for betterment is purely on my own shoulders.  No priest, pastor, guru, bishop, swami, imam, or psychic offers me anything.  The world tells me that I am to fend for myself and fuck the rest.  (Admit it, that’s what is being taught by most people today outside a religious context.)  The “feel good” movements of the 60’s have proven to be a failure (free love, EST, Dianetics, drug-induced enlightenment, etc)
I can handle this piece on my own, I’ve come to the conclusion over time and My thinking has adjusted to it, but what about my wife and our relationship, and what do I tell my kids.

For my wife, I tell her that we no longer match, that when we kneel in prayer it’s just for show, a sign of appeasement, an empty gesture to keep the piece at home.  But once she knows that, the gesture is a mockery of her faith, and a cancer between us.
And what about the children?  It feels like I’m killing of Santa, the Easter Bunny, and Tooth Fairy in one fell swoop.  “Give up hope kids!” I will have to say, “God’s a crock, the angels are as fake as fairies, and everything we’ve taught you for 12 years is just wrong.”

There is no hope of a next life, or salvation, or seeing loved ones on the far side of the bright light.
What do I tell them?  “You’ve got 45 good years until your health starts to fail and then it’s just a slow march to incontinence and the grave.  Everything you love will die.  All you work for will rot.   You can fight the good fight, make some money, share the wealth, soothe the suffering of those who have less, but in the end, we all die, and that’s it.”
For me that sometimes seems like blessed relief, but how do you kill that hope in children?  What do you tell them?

(This mood will pass, i know, but .....)

As a man thinketh...

7For as he thinketh in his heart, so [is] he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart [is] not with thee.

So, if this is true, why am I not taller with a great big cock?  Or, why am I not turning into a hot lesbian, since I think abou them so much.

Thre is a growing disparity, discussed often, between my in-person life and my on-line life.  At some point the rift has to be healed or it will split completely and the schism in my life will be a angry break from how the world knows me.

A friend of mine said, what most men feel, that he has few, or no, friends to turn to when serious matters are on the line.  He has friends to talk football, but few to discuss death.  I would wager that most men have dual lives, even if both are innocent of the sins I have comitted.  We have a public, strong, competent facade as expected, but inside we have doubts, worries, girlfriends, obsessions, addictions, needs, hopes, dreams, desires that are not allowed to be expressed.

We have a growing  disconnect between the thoughts we have and the words we are allowed to say.  Imagine the backlash if we began to speak honestly:

  • Honey, I'm no longer attracted to you because you've gained weight and turned into a shrew.
  • I hate my job and am serious about doing something totally different, and yes, we will make less money.
  • The kids drive me crazy and I need more time away from them.
  • And you too
  • And I'm thinking of getting a mistress because you won't have sex with me any more.
  • I hate owning a yard, i hate mowing the grass, and i really hate talking to your brother about his lawn
  • It doesn't bother me if our kids mastrubate, in fact, i think they should.
  • I no longer share your faith in god, people, the PTA or the Zodiac.
  • Your sister is an idiot.
  • You have become so fearful that being near you is depressing.
  • I might want to leave.
We have so many unspoken words in our head that we lose sight of what is real and what is internal narrative.  We become afraid of speaking our mind because our mind is full of things we can not say.

For as a man thinkith in his heart, so is he....

So what am I?

I'll let others answer that, the list in my head is very unflattering.

Sunday Sacrilege - Read your scriptures!

Daily scripture reading is critical to walking in the Way.

1 [a]How beautiful your sandaled feet,
   O prince’s daughter!
Your graceful legs are like jewels,
the work of an artist’s hands.
2 Your navel is a rounded goblet
   that never lacks blended wine.
Your waist is a mound of wheat
   encircled by lilies.
3 Your breasts are like two fawns,
like twin fawns of a gazelle.
4 Your neck is like an ivory tower.
Your eyes are the pools of Heshbon
by the gate of Bath Rabbim.
Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon
   looking toward Damascus.
5 Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel.
   Your hair is like royal tapestry;
the king is held captive by its tresses.
6 How beautiful you are and how pleasing,
   my love, with your delights!
7 Your stature is like that of the palm,
and your breasts like clusters of fruit.
8 I said, “I will climb the palm tree;
I will take hold of its fruit.
May your breasts be like clusters of grapes on the vine,
the fragrance of your breath like apples,
9 and your mouth like the best wine.    She
May the wine go straight to my beloved,
flowing gently over lips and teeth.[b]
10 I belong to my beloved,
and his desire is for me.
11 Come, my beloved, let us go to the countryside,
let us spend the night in the villages.[c]
12 Let us go early to the vineyards
to see if the vines have budded,
if their blossoms have opened,
and if the pomegranates are in bloom—
there I will give you my love.
13 The mandrakes send out their fragrance,
and at our door is every delicacy,
both new and old,
that I have stored up for you, my beloved.

Sunday Sacrelige

Last week we read our scriptures, this week we say our prayers.

Maybe next week we will see the difference between prayer,
and worship.

Sunday Sacrilege - At the Gate

She sees him through the wrought-iron bars and she exults in her heart. Through the guilt and the shame, love and loneliness win the day.

He smiles back.
He remembers the day they met at the market.
So innocent and young, so full of The Spirit,
but also full of the spirit of life.  He recognized her conflict at once.

The way she shopped, how she held the fruit, laughing with the fish-mongers, the farmers, the street rats, the ruffians, and the other nuns.

She was a scandal to them, she was.  Always the blushing one, with some hidden thought, a suppressed urge, a joke that would not be contained at the expense of the Reverend Mother or the Holy See itself.

They found each other in the market and life itself took on new meaning that day.

And now she comes for him, gleefully climbing the gate as a child climbs a tree to position herself just for him.  It is still her giggle, her laugh, her Spirit that brings him joy each fortnight, just after Vespers, when the Abbey is dark.

Was there a god?  He thought, until he realized he didn't care to know the answer any more.

He had already found heaven.

Sunday Sacrilege - For I am about to....

"Forgive me father," she said, "For I am about to sin."

About to sin?  She asked herself if she could even ask for forgiveness when the sin was planned carefully, down to every detail, every minute of his schedule, the time, the place, and the toys.  What forgiveness can I find when I rush headlong into the arms of another.

They met for the first time when she was only a novice.  The life of a newly committed nun was harsh.  Daily chores, hours of prayer, almost no food, little water, and study, study, study.  It was the first month, she recalled, she was missing home terribly and longed for her mother’s cooking.  She felt herself starving, but though of the Lord in the desert for 40 days and stiffened her resolve.
When he arrived, the entire Abbey was in turmoil.  His caravan was early, the roof was still leaking, the floors were wet, the meals where nowhere near ready, and the new girls were wandering about in a state.  Except for one.  The new girl, what is her name?  Yes, the heavy one with the pretty face and voice.
As she saw the cars pull up she looked around for the Reverend Mother but she was not to be found.  Keeping her head she walked boldly to the door, stole flowers from the vase by the hymnals, and a ribbon from the Spring Flags at the door to tie them in to a bouquet.  As he walked through the door, she refused to hand them to his attendant, but instead, waited for the Cardinal himself.
Their hands touched as she lowered her eyes and handed him the flowers.  With a curled knuckle under her chin, he bade her “Rise Sweet Sister” and tell me your name.”
“I am Novice Antonia, “ she whispered. “ Reverend Mother has asked me to greet you.”
“What beautiful flowers from the hands of a beautiful sister.” He replied.
She lead them to the main chapel and had them sit, explaining that the spring rains had damaged the roof just the night before and all hands were busy with repairs and clean-up.
“And what are you doing to help Sister?” he asked with just a touch of a grin on his lips.
“I do this…” her singing brought tears to ever eye and dedication to every heart.  She sang of love, loss, faith, and hope.  Her body quivered as she reached for notes unheard, let her voice soars, and fill the grand marble hall.
As the last note drifted to heaven through the stain-glassed window over the Cardinal’s head, he leaned over and whispered in the ear of his assistant.  Within moments, they were alone.
Then he fucked her.

OK, a bad ending, I know, I know, I know….  A friend sent me this picture expressly for a Sunday Sacrilege piece and I had this great vision for a story.  An overweight sister comes into the Abbey, meets the powerful man, gets insulted somehow, starts fasting as penance, blah blah, gets skinny, seduces priest (now a bigger man) and then kills herself on the alter at the nave and brings ruination on to the church as she writes her lover’s name in blood.  As I started to read it, I just had one thought.
OH MAN, THAT”S CRAP.
I didn’t mean to re-write “The Thorn Birds” I don’t have 14 1-hour episodes to tell the story.
I wrote for a bit and stopped and tried again and then “buckled down” today to get it written and came up with this tripe.  (And do not tell me otherwise), It was taking too long to develop, I could easily see another 600 words just to get her kind of naked.
So I ended it like every porn movie ever made.  Blah, Blah, Blah…and then they fucked.
That works pretty well for porn, I mean, come on, it’s the most successful script ever written.
But, not for Sunday Sacrilege.  So, for those who got this far, send me your name and home address and I will send you back 15 minutes of your life.

Sunday....

Good morning all...

Today is a quiet family day, everyone coming over to celebrate the birthday's, it is our turn to host.  Lots to do to get ready....

So I would encourage you all, if you can, to spend time with those you love, those you cherish, and if you can't do that, spend some time with your family.

                This                                         or                                  This?

Sunday Sacrilege - Mind reader...

This guy freakin' read my mind.  He hits on so many of the points I've been thinking about.  But then he questions why Satan would punish you for doing bad stuff and I was laughing loud enough to have to get up and close my door.  It's a perfect clip.

Son of a Butch commented on my SS (Sunday Sacrilege - not the nasty arm of the Nazi party, BTW) post last week, and then he put up a post of this guy on his blog, and now I'm stealing it back and putting it up as my post.  It's a vicious little circle, I know, but DAMN this guy is funny and spot on.

SS

I'm pretty sure on this one....

Just a couple of thoughts on hell...

If God is just, and I know is a big assumption, then sins must be affixed to a specific punishment, (Penance Units).  Stealing a gum ball, 3 PUs, destroying Enron, 2,000,000 PUs, cheating on your wife, 30,000 PUs, writing a bad sex blog, 19 PUs, etc.  Each misdeed is only so bad,  and not any worse.  Killing a man, cheating on your college entrance exams, running a red light, cussing at the TV, eating grapes in the grocery store, are all different.  Each must be assigned their on PU value.

OK, to the bible tells us to repent, make restitution, do penance, beat ourselves with 50 stripes, offer a mitzvah, a sacrifice, or a broken heart.  If we do that while alive, we are forgiven.  Right?  But what if we don't?

Asking friends of various faiths gains me various answers, but must of them are like this, "You go to hell."  What is hell?  That might be a different post, but for many of us it could be staying right where we are, or it's the hellfire and brimstone or separation from "the divine" or maybe it's New Jersey (or Houston), who knows?

So God sends us to hell to punish us.  My Christian background tells me that I just suffer as Christ suffered. But He suffered for all mankind, I just need to suffer for me.  Right?  I'm just one guy, with a specific number of sins and their associated Penance Units.  So maybe in my life I've built up a debt of 1,253,322 PUs.  That is a finite number.  I've only sinned so much.  Assuming the "just God" theory, I should only be punished for 1,253,322 PUs, no more, and no less.

So how can you tell me I'm going to hell forever?  At some point I've paid my debt, I've cleared my PUs, I'm done.  What then?  Do I just become a heavenly harp-playing cloud monkey?  Do I cease to exist?  Do I become like God? Do I start all over (oh fuck no)? Do I get my 70 virgins and a mule?  Believe me, 70 virgins may be heaven to me, but is it hell for them?  That's their penance, an eternity stuck with me?  They must have been pretty awful people for that punishment.

But back to the point, after I've done my penance, then what?  I know this isn't the "normal" kind of post for this blog, and I don't expect any answers and I certainly don't want any arguing, ,but it is Sunday morning, and this is is my Sunday Sacrilege, so I get to ask what ever I want, right?

We will back to our regular scheduled programming tomorrow.

SS - Prayer to the Faithful

I know this has been making the rounds, but it's still funny and I need something light and airy today.

Have a wonderful Sunday!!! And remember, Monday is just one day away.

Kat got it right...

Time, privacy, and energy have all been in short supply this week, but when I read Kat's post on Friday, I just had to share it as my Sunday Post.

and just one more thought..

But more importantly, let's hope He has a sense of humor.

Sunday Sacrilege - After Vespers

The final bells of vespers had died out long ago but still he sat in the chapel.  This was his favorite time of day, the dying sun of the evening made the stained glass on the Western Wall glow with a warmth and comfort that reminded him of why he had joined the priesthood 10 years ago.  The color ebbed out slowly as he sat and counted his Rosary, reciting the familiar and comfortable words in his mind, but, and he knew this to his shame, not in his heart.

His day had been a long and exhausting one, but he was happy.  The Compton Boy’s Choir had filled the sanctuary with beautiful music and his soul had been buoyed up.  Their hope strengthened him and he let the music play in the background of his heart as he stood and did a walk through the rows of the small chapel.

He had picked up a tradition from Father Velasquez as a younger priest.  He started at the front and walked through each pew.  Originally, his mentor said, it was to pick up trash and lift the kneeling pads to make it easier on his volunteer janitors, but then he made it something more.  He started thinking about the families that sat in each spot.  On Friday nights, it was the younger families who wanted to be out playing on Sunday and the widow’s with nowhere else to go.  Saturday morning was for the ones who thought Sister Amy’s pop-music worship would get them to heaven.  “What a heretic.” He thought, immediately censoring himself for the snide comment.  Sunday morning was the traditionalists, the ones who still wished for Latin mass and would strip away the reforms of Vatican 2 and get back to the good old days.

As he walked back and forth, working his way through the congregations in his mind, he saw the Albrights and their smiling kids, the Lopez families (three, all related) and worried about their employment troubles.  He thought of the Wrights and their sick son, the Johansson’s and their dying mom, and the list went on and on.  Most families had something to worry, pray, fear, and cry about.  Each time be bent to pick up a forgotten program, or straighten a misplace hymnal he said a prayer for the family, and realized that his small problems were just that, small.

Standing in the back corner of the dark chapel the cold glare of the sodium vapor lights in the parking lot had replaced the sun’s warmth in the stained glass.  It felt alien now, transformed by the switch from the natural to the synthetic.  He dropped the collected trash into the small wastebasket and looked around him.  Shadows hid in the dark crevices of the old architecture.  Aging columns gave way to alcoves and sanctuaries and alters filled with the dead.  A candle he had missed sputtered at the feet of a martyred apostle giving an eerie dance to the dead man’s feet.  He shuddered and felt lost in his own chapel.

He turned to go and cried out in shock when he realized he was not alone.

“You shouldn’t swear like that in the chapel,” she smirked as she laughed at the startled priest, “it’s not proper to use language such nasty language.”

He wanted to form some priestly response, but he was off kilter at the shock of seeing Sister Anderson standing there, so late, so…..out of context….and, he couldn’t process it…so, so, so……

“I see you’ve picked up where Father Velasquez left off,” she said as she nudged her shoulder off the wall and stood before him, “are you saying a prayer for each family as you pick up their lost Cheerios and dreams?”  She voice was tinged with the sadness that filled her quieter songs.  Sister Amy had a beautiful voice, full of energy and hope as she sang with the kids and fronted the pop combo for the older youth ministry.  Sometimes he heard her singing after hours in the Sunday school room and he knew there was more in her heart than thoughts of the rapture and hymns of praise.  Her music betrayed a more complex heart than she showed to those who needed her to be simply Sister Amy.

“I used to watch Father Velasquez walk these pews every night as my father helped him clean.” She stood with her feet slightly apart and he had to shake his head to focus on her words.  “He knew every family who prayed here,” she continued, absent-mindedly picking at the hem of her bizarre outfit.  “He loved us all.” He voice faded with a strange tone that made his heart strangle itself in his chest.

He looked at her intently.  Her outfit was a vile caricature of her Order’s sacred attire.  She looked like a fever dream from his youth when he had sinful crushes on his camp counselors and spent hours loosing the struggle against his young body’s desires.

She walked towards him and he backed up quickly, banging his head against the stone carving on the wall.  He was trapped as her long legs, whorishly bare, slipped back and forth against more bare skin.  She bent forward and slipped the Prayer book in to stack at the end of the pew.  The tight orange fabric was difficult to see in the dark chapel, but her fair skin and auburn hair caught the faint light of the remaining candles and tormented him.

“Where did you get that ridiculous outfit Sister Amy?”  he was getting his voice back, “it’s an abomination to have it on in this sacred place.”  He stepped to the side and stood tall, trying not to whack his head again, trying to sound and act like a priest.
From Ms. Pussy le Queer

“You want I should take it off Father?”  She reached behind her back with both hands, lifting the hem even further as her hands move to the zipper, stretching the fabric across her bare chest.

“No!” he cried out again, “where did you get it in the first place?”

She laughed, “The senior girls got it for me as a thank you gift at graduation,” he heard the zipper lower, “they thought it was funny.”  He heart was racing, Sister Amy was barely older than the girls she taught and strange thoughts filled his head.  “I wear it sometimes when I wonder what my life might have been like without….”

“Don’t say anything Amy.” He said, surprised at his familiar form of address.  He knew that everyone in the ministry had doubts but it did no good to express them.  They were best dealt with in quiet prayer.

She leaned against the back of the pew and closed her eyes.  He couldn’t believe what she was doing, her hands, those beautiful talented hands were stroking the tops of her exposed thighs,  He felt his breathing speed up and he head began to fog.

“Amy,” he stopped himself, “Sister Amy,” he said more sternly, “Stop that.”

“Stop what Father?”  her hands curled up under her skirt and began to lift, the curve of her upper thighs came in to view and fingers were reaching, reaching upwards.  She gasped and arched her back when her fingers found flesh.

“Stop!” he cried out and stepped towards her.  “You are in the house of God!”

“I KNOW!”  her voice was stretched and strained, “Shall I call out to him?”  He could see her wrist move in the most lascivious ways, “shall I take his name in vain again and again?”

Her feet were spread now as she put one hand on the back of the pew allowing the other to grind deeper and deeper inside.  Her face was like one caught up by a demon, or angel, a supplicant in deep need of comfort and release.  She lifted the skirt higher and he saw her bare skin, devoid of...

(to be continued... sorry, the family just woke up)

I might add something cute or insightful, but I doubt it.
