- I like awkward people. They make me feel better about myself.
- Disliking the taste of ethanol also means you hate desserts with alcohol of any sort in them.
- It is absolutely amazing the difference a couple of months makes to total daylight hours when you live in the north.
- The little maple tree we pilfered from a ditch last fall made it through the winter and is currently sprouting leaves! Who'd have thought a tree could be so cute?
- I have never understood why people can't just let stuff other people do go. Just mind your own business! If you don't want an abortion or don't believe in whatever, then don't get one or believe in it. No one is forcing you into it. But don't try to take away the rights of everyone else and force your viewpoint on them because you believe your way is the only one. I surely would not want to be in a position where someone else dictated what I could and couldn't do with my body, even if I had personally decided that abortion was off the table, you dig? Because how dare anyone, as a fellow fallible human, have the gall to assume authority over another's person? I realize it's been that way throughout a lot of history, but that doesn't make it right.
- I'm very grateful for my blog friends and my friends that I've met in person! I tend to not have a lot of friends by choice, since it's exhausting for me to put that much mental work into more than a handful of relationships, but I really love the ones I have.
- I went to this hippie store last night with Patrick. I love the atmosphere there, even if it is a bit woo-woo. It smells nice, and it has sounds of chimes and water falling from the little fountains. Plus their giant hanging crane umbrella is amazing, and I always make a point of appreciating it. I will recreate it one day! Also, for some reason, every time I leave that place I have glitter on me.
