So far behind....

I am so far behind in reading your wonderful blogs, seriously, I got back from vacation and had 117 unread posts, not counting my own.  There are so many words, stories, tales of trauma and drama that I hate to miss any of them, yet I find I'm getting more and more behind.  Today's total was 132.

Aaaagh.  I enjoyed my vacation.  It was my second cruise, the 1st with the kids and others.  It was not relaxing, I didn't spend one moment in a deck chair, but we had fun, sang karaoke, ate well, ate well again, slept like the dead, played bingo, watched bad stage shows, bought crap in Mexico, did NOT get kidnapped, raped or murdered, played min-golf on deck, went down a water slide, swam in a freezing pool, ate some more, tried to go jogging but got bored on a 1/11 mile track, did not have sex with either my wife or disgruntled heiress, but did enjoy two very very nice showers.  The water pressure was surprisingly perfect. 

There really isn't much to tell.  There were very few beautiful women to gawk at, no one to flirt with, too many family members for any decent playtime, and no cell/gps/wi-fi reception that didn't cost exorbitant amounts.  I missed my e-mail and phone friends, but didn't worry about my blog at all (until I came back to well-deserved scorn and ridicule for my horrible list of "assignments", boy did that suck). 

Saturday was spent at home doing laundry and taking down Christmas decorations.  Now, in the first quiet moments in days, the kids and women are outside playing (sister-in-law and 2 kids, plus my own), and I'm able to tap out a meager post. 

The kids are still off school next week so I won't be writing much.  New Year's Resolutions may be an upcoming topic, the traditional weight loss goals will be supplemented by some more creative ones as well, but I'm not sure what I want to commit to in public. 

My job hunt has not begun, but several people have e-mailed me with ideas, which is a nice show of support.

So have a wonderful week, I may be on once in a while, and I'll always have my phone with me to check for e-mails.....
