Potpourri, a mix of miscellaneous items.
So a few notes on a few things:
- December is starting off well. I started off the morning by teaching my cycling class and then hopping in the pool. In the lane next to me was a beautiful woman who came in to the jacuzzi after me. Usually I'd just smile, nod, and close my eyes, but I need to be fearless. So this morning, I said hi, introduced myself, complimented her on her cute bikini, found out her name, occupation, and social status, and then gave her a smile as we talked about work, the weather, and Christmas plans. She said she'd be in my next class week after my next business trip.
- The Good day continued as I went home. I'm working at home today and my wife asked if she should go for her walk or stay home "for something else." We chose option #2. I turned on the heating blanket while she showered and we spent a lovely 30 minutes. I tried to make it 45 min because her best looking friend was coming over to drop her kid for babysitting and I wanted an excuse to open the door in my robe. My wife, laughed, then told me to get dressed.
- Last month was my 2nd best month ever on my hit counter. I love all my readers and I hope I can make December just as interesting.
- I have one month left at my job. I had a mini-freakout during a cycle class the other day. I was on my bike, not teaching, just attending, and all these weird worries kicked in and I almost left class. I wondered if that was a glimmer, a sliver of what a panic attack must feel like. With only 20 working days left, it's starting to feel very real. And even thought I KNOW it's going to be a good thing, it's strange. In fact, as I write this, my forearms are tingling, freaky.
- I only have one more trip to Houston, and yes, I'm going to e-mail friend to ask if I can see her to say good-bye. Best case? I get a few minutes in her office to say how much I enjoyed knowing her and maybe a hug and a handshake goodbye. Worst case? She declines and I'm left with great memories of a friend that "might have been" more. But we all have those, right?
- I love Christmas music and I'm listening to it right now on my Pandora account. Wonderful stuff.
- One of the biggest challenges with being unemployed for a while is going to be eating well when I'm at home. I say this after making a big breakfast followed up by a few M&Ms and a handful of peanut butter pretzels. Danger Will Robinson!!!
- The weather outside, with apologies to my winter-based friends, it is beautiful today. Windy and warm, a little fall smell in the air, a great day for some outside time. I will be taking my lunch on the patio today if you don't mind.
- I have ordered a new smart phone and it should arrive any day now! I'm so very very excited.
- Oh!!!! And even better! I am going to see THIS!!!!!! It's only 5 months away and I'm buying tickets this weekend. Who wants to meet me there?
